Policy
Providing legislative advocacy on the state and national levels is a critical part of LCADV’s efforts to eliminate domestic violence in Louisiana.
The LCADV Public Policy Team’s primary responsibilities include:
- Advocating for systemic change to address the needs of victims of domestic violence.
- Monitoring policies, procedures and practices that impact victims of domestic violence and service providers.
- Tracking legislation impacting the lives of domestic violence victims.
- Advocating to ensure appropriate funding for domestic violence programs and services.
